Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on August 18, 1950; daughter of Woodrow John Strossen and Sylvia (Simicich) Strossen; graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard-Radcliffe College, 1972; graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, 1975; married Eli Michael Noam (a professor), in 1980.

Nadine Strossen, the only child of Woodrow and Sylvia Strossen , was born in 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and grew up in Hopkins, Minnesota. With more than 30 years of experience in First Amendment law, Strossen is a leading expert and frequent speaker/media commentator on constitutional law and civil liberties, who has testified before Congress on multiple occasions.
